Very large, fragrant, graceful flowers with exceptional deep vibrant color magenta; dorsal sepal falls back slightly as is typical of species; throat golden yellow; far superior in color and form to any clone of the species.

One of the easiest of the cattleya species to cultivate.

She was described by Hooker as "the most magnificent of all orchideous plants," and anyone who has seen the species in flower would be hard-pressed to disagree.
